Name Kashka Ishtar

Rank Lieutenant

Character Information

Gender Female
Species Human by Appearance (chemically altered Geneology)
Age 21

Physical Appearance

Height 5"6'
Weight 112lbs
Hair Color black
Eye Color yellow with orange sclera
Physical Description Kashka is an oddly beautiful woman, with an athletic build, though a little on the thin side, and is of average height. She has shoulder length wavy raven hair, her alabaster skin and large eyes often give her a misleadingly fragile appearance.

Not much is actually known of Kashka's physical appearance as she is always seen wearing a mask that covers the lower two-thirds of her face that starts just below her eyes. She has become quite adept at changing her appearance and while this is her 'standard' appearance, it is unclear to anyone within the Confederacy just what she looks like.

She has the numbers #602 tattooed across the back of her neck, along with a barcode above it, thanks in part to the genetic experiments that were conducted on her as a child, her lips are permanently coloured black, which can be a giveaway to those searching for her
Medical Due to the experiments conducted on her as a child by her 'Father' disgraced Eugenicist Professor Solsitem, she possesses excellent eyesight, stamina, and strength far beyond the normal capacities of her tiny frame, the trade off is an addiction-like dependence on daily injections of what has become known as a 'normalising agent' a collection of compounds and chemicals that are required to maintain the molecular cohesion of her internal organs, to forgo with said injection for more than a day or two would resort in symptoms starting with anxiety, gradually progressing to psychosis, paranoia, coma, followed closely by death by systematic organ failure within 72 hours of last injection.

Due to the fact that she was abducted as a child by Orions and sold to a life of veritable slavery, she will lose her composure when forced to deal with them, often preferring to resort to physical violence than to discuss the problem.

Due to the myriad of toxins and chemicals still present in her blood stream, her blood is unsuitable for any form of transfusion, either as the recipient or as the donor, as a result of this.

While physically, Kashka is twenty-one years old, she holds knowledge and experiences of someone much older than her, this could be attributed to the unique way her bodies metabolism operates, or the concoction of medications used in her 'normalising agent'

Personality & Traits

General Overview Kashka is a troublingly cold and calculating woman, which is understandable considering her upbringing and childhood. She excels in the hunt, thrives in it. She can acquire information quite easily and holds secrets that date back to the Fall, which considering would have taken place when she was one, suggests that her age may not be the only thing she has fabricated.

Considering her profession and demeanor, she has few 'friends' on any post she is billeted too, but if someone could melt her icy exterior, she is a passionately loyal person
Strengths & Weaknesses Due to the experiments conducted on her as a child by her 'Father' disgraced Eugenicist Professor Solsitem, she possesses excellent eyesight, stamina, and strength far beyond the normal capacities of her tiny frame, the trade off is an addiction-like dependence on daily injections of what has become known as a 'normalising agent' a collection of compounds and chemicals that are required to maintain the molecular cohesion of her internal organs, to forgo with said injection for more than a day or two would resort in symptoms starting with anxiety, gradually progressing to psychosis, paranoia, coma, followed closely by death by systematic organ failure within 72 hours of last injection.

Ambitions Kashka wishes to find the location and wereabouts of her actual family, a feat made almost impossible as all known traces of her history were destroyed when she fell into the services of the 'Imperial Hand'
Hobbies & Interests Hobbies: Hunting her prey, martial arts, making people squirm, melting into the bulkheads and observing the ship

Interests: sculpture, fabrication, disappearing

Personal History Kashka was born to the industrial world of Trellis II, just prior to the Fall of the Terran Empire, where she spent the first five years of her life, until she was abducted by Orion pirates under the orders of disgraced Eugenicist, Professor Tiberius Solstiem, and brought to his Newlight Research Facility.

Once under the ownership of the Professor, a crazed man who believed that the principles of super-human condition lay not in selective breeding as was the case during the Terran Empire, but from forced evolution, by exposing developing tissue to a variation of toxins and synthetic chemicals he hoped would create the perfect human being. To accomplish this feat, he contracted Orion pirates to abduct young children from various worlds throughout the crumbling Terran Empire; it was at that point that his path crossed with the young Kashka. Once aboard the Newlight Facility, Kashka lost her name, her identity, and became known solely as 'Specimen 602'.

Caused either by a sick, perverted sense of paternalism, or a simplr scientific curiosity, the Professor took a shine to 602, and decided to use her as the guinea pig for most of his experiments, injecting her tiny body with chemicals and toxic compounds that irreversibly changed her.

Unfortunately as most experiments in Eugenics were, 602 was a glorious failure, thanks in part to the gene therapy she was forced to undergo, and the myriad of counter-acting chemical compounds coursing through her veins, by age 15 it was discovered that she has been rendered useless as a test subject, and infertile as a carrier of any successive generations of super-humans. While she exhibited the desired strength, speed and deductive reasoning, she was deemed flawed due to the inevitable side effect which was a dependence on daily injections of certain chemical and bio-toxin compounds, created to maintain the fragile state her body had become. The Professor grew bored of his new pet, and cast her aside in favor for a more successful augment, known only to Kashka as 'Assiylia'.

Now homeless, and almost mad due to the trauma committed against her, Kashka started to wander the remains of the Terran Empire, a space that now seemed a lot less secure than it had when she was a child. It did not take long before she came into contact with Imperial Agents, who quickly determined there was more to the small corpse of a girl that seemed to pass every lie-detection test, and escape custody. It was not long before she was summoned before the Emperor.

The Emperor already had his cadre of Augemented Super Soldiers, and the Imperial Sisterhood of the Blade, but he had something else in mind for Kashka. Using the tattooed number on the base of her skull, Kashka became a member of the Imperial Hand. The Elite Secret Security Force of the Emperor, there she worked simply as Agent 602.

For the next three years, 602 would travel around the galaxy, protecting what remained of the Empire from the various entities that would have reason to benefit the collapsing superpower. As the Empire collapsed around them and the threat of the Alliance approached. This is when she saw the Galaxy for what it was, where power meant safety, and that she could be more than she was.

When the Empire finally fell, Kashka was not on High Terra as she had hoped, she had been on assignment and not at the Emperors side when he died in the fiery battle of Wolf 359 with the remains of the Imperial Navy. When news finally reached her that the Emperor was dead and the Empire had fallen, Kashka wept for days, as she had for a moment, felt like she had a home. Once again, Kashka was an orphan. After completing her final contract, she attempted to contact her handlers for information, and finding nothing, decided that she needed to find a way to survive in this new galaxy.

602, who had reverted to using her original name, garnered substantial wealth by selling her services as a bodyguard, assassin, bounty hunter, or gun for hire; all the abilities she had gained during her time under both Dr Solstiem and the Emperor, while she tried to avoid the Alliance and their constant search for Terran Augments. Her new life allowed her to rub shoulders with the crème of the galaxies criminal underbelly. She worked for all sides, all comers, as long as they could afford her. It did not take long for her actions to bring her into contact with the Terran Rebellion.

When she stumbled upon them she felt something that she had never felt before, pity. She felt sorry for these Terrans and their plight and decided to assist them where she could, she would ferry freed slaves to Rebel bases, and courier information out of Alliance space.
When the Rebellion became the Confederacy, Kashka started traveling through the fleet, doing what she could to assist her adoptive home, as she had gained few friends within the Alliance.
